But now I must go prepare for a lesson. Good luck to you in your training, Drakssus. I'll be seeing you again.
*Lanx turns and heads out of the garden for his quarters.*

"Till we meet again, Master Lanx." Drakssus bows, and turns to continue exploring the new area.

Tired of waiting, I get up. Walking through the trees, I cme up to my familiar place, on top of the waterfall. Something is amiss, however. There is a gash in my favorite tree, the cherry blossom on top of the waterfall. Well, I learned from master yoda how to help repair it without the force. I slowly take the tree, setting it upright, then gather some line from m belt pouch. It goes around the tree, but is not tied yet. I look for a certain herb, horsesage.(Earth name) I put it in my mouth, chew it up (taste like poodoo), then smear it along the cut region of the tree. It will help heal it faster, plus keep it sterile. Then the line is tied, and the tree is oncemore standing straight.

*On his way to a lesson Lanx stopped to watch a students work with a tree. Having observed quietly, speaks up after seeing Kerrson's work with the tree.*
That's very good technique, young one. Who taught you do to that?

"Well..master yoda told me of the healing herb, but I splinted it myself. I knew that it needed to grow right, and It would probably just break in half if I left it. I like plants, and the natraul(sp?) things. Very mysterious. I do not understand the force very well, but I know much of healing things by natraul(sp?) means."
(Look at my first couple of posts here, I say the same thing.)

(I noticed.) Mysterious indeed. And beautiful.
*Lanx steps carefully over to the tree and grasps it in one hand. He closes his eyes and concentrates, before relaxing his grip and smiling. He takes a step back and looks at the whole tree.*
Very well done. Though, in the wild trees do grow crookedly to adapt to their surroundings and bend towards their sorce of energy. It might not have broken, but the gardeners would not want a crooked tree here, no matter the consequences of relocation on it. You may have saved it's life twice.

"I am glad I did...thank you, Master Lanx. I usually sit up here, I like the waterfall and the one cherry blossom tree...It's serene. It takes me from my childhood, helps me forget it..."
I look at the tree, it is healed. I am shocked. I walk up, and, very carefully, untwist the line and place it in my belt pouch. I look up at the twi'lek, so large for my small, 11 year old size, and ask him, my eyes wide.
"How do you do that, master lanx?"

Perhaps someday I will show you.
*Lanx nods and crosses his arms in thought.*
Hmmm, but nature should not teach us to forget our past. Look at the tree you just helped. The bark will grow stronger over where it had begun to splint, and it will be an even firmer base for the tree to grow up. This . . . injury has caused it pain, and it has suffered, but all in all it will grow stronger than before.
Now, we all know that trees cannot look back on their past like we can. However, if they could, this one would look back on this incident with possible dread, but not regret or shame for what has happened. No, if it would regret this incident, it would regret its standing tall in the future.
Just like this, we should accept our past as what shaped us to be what we are now. The past may be painful, sad, or even horrific, but no matter how wrong it is it brought you here today, and for that you should be thankful. Take a lesson from nature and accept your past as your maker. It does not mean you must like what happened to you, or come close to cherrishing it, but by denying and trying to forget our past, we forget who we are. Come to peace with your past, and you will find yourself in it.

"yessir, that is nice. I did not lose my parents, they where alive when I left them, but I remeber the sad look on my father's face. He told me to be all that I can, and never give up, but always remeber where I came from, to never let greed get ahold of me. I hope I am epitomizing what he said...Although I still have no Master, and do no have much force knowledge..."
(Damn writing as an 11 year old is hard!)

(haha, I bet.)
Ah, Drakssus, i thought I sensed you back there. I hope you heard me and saw what Kerrson just did for this tree. It has to do with my lesson for today, and a little knowledge of what you are learning can help quite a bit.
*Lanx looks at his chronometer and sighs.*
Speaking of my lesson, I'm late. I suppose I'll have to tell master Yoda I was dealing with pressing matters in the garden.
*Winks.*

"Thank you master, for the lesson." I bow, then sit down next to the healed ree, laying in the grass.
(I'm gonna go eat with amanda and some of her freinds, be right back)
