Name: Lanx Laz'aruk
Spieces: Twi'lek
Age: 42
Height: 6' 2"
Weight: 185 lbs
Eyes: Grey
Weapons: One teal single-bladed lightsaber.
Lanx was born from a middle-class trader family on the planet of Corellia. His father owned a smaller sized spaceport, and his whole family helped to run it.
Lanx, like many Twi'lek, was very charismatic and learned negotiation skills early. He always enjoyed tending a large garden about a kilometer from the city where they lived, and he spent most of his free time there. Eventually others learned about it, and Lanx was hurt to notice people had been stealing the fruit that he had grown. He never gave up, though, and even planted some 'defensive' plants to discourage the theives.
One day, Lanx went out to tend his garden when he found a strange creature there. It was a bothan, clad in a dark robe, kneeling in the nexus of the garden's pathways. Lanx approached him quietly, but silvery-furred male bothan noticed him. He turned and gave Lanx a sharp glare, but then realized his intent and resumed meditation.
Lanx ignored the visitor, and went about tending his plants as he had been for years. He came across a single-stemmed plant that had been bent over by a clumsy visitor. As he had done many times before, Lanx knelt down and gently unbent the broken stem. He held it in its original position for a few minutes before removing his hands to find it healed.
"What are you doing, boy?" came a voice from behind him. Lanx, startled jumped up and started to back away. "It's alright, I'm not going to hurt you," comforted the robed Bothan, "Who taught you that?"
"N-no one," Lanx replied nervously. The Bothan eyed him curiously and nodded.
"Do you know of the Jedi, boy?" asked the stranger.
Lanx nodded nervously and replied, "My father calls them the Republic's peacekeepers, and he says they have abnormal powers."
The bothan laughed and lowered his hood. He opened his cloak to reveal to the wide-eyed Lanx a lightsaber haning on his belt. "Your father is right, boy." The Jedi waved his hand towards a small bed of pebbles, and one shot up towards his hand. It stopped before hitting his palm and hovered above his hand. "Do you know how I can do this?"
Lanx shook his head, amazed. The Jedi continued, "You can do it, too. I saw you using the force on those plants. You posses the same power I do. I can teach you how to use it, boy. Now, let us go home to your parents, and we can discuss this."
Lanx's father was beeming with pride when the Jedi told him what his son's abilities were. His mother was proud also, but reluctant for him to leave home. Lanx agreed to go with the Jedi to train to become one, and left for Coruscant the next day. He was eventually apprenticed to the Bothan Knight, and together they did much good throughout the galaxy.
Upon his master's demise, Lanx was promoted to Jedi Knight, and then eventually to Master.
